What We Cover for Organizations Like Yours

General Liability

Foundational coverage for day-to-day operations and third-party claims.

Directors & Officers

Protects your board and leadership from claims tied to their decisions.

Abuse & Molestation

Specialized liability coverage many carriers won’t write — we place it.

Volunteers

Volunteer accident and liability coverage, often overlooked until it matters.

Workers’ Compensation

Required coverage for paid staff, handled correctly from the start.

Employment Practices

Protection against claims tied to hiring, firing, and workplace disputes.

Why Brokers, Not a Call Center

When you call, you get a person who already knows your organization — not a queue. Since 1986 we’ve built relationships with the carriers who understand nonprofit and social-service risk, so coverage gets placed right the first time. We also offer free Human Resources services and don’t charge broker fees with most of our insurance programs.

Questions We Get Asked

Volunteers can be covered in several areas of insurance. Under the General Liability policy, they can be added as additional insured. In California, non-compensated interns can be added to the workers’ compensation policy as an endorsement. A Volunteer Accident policy can also be purchased to protect volunteers if they are injured “on the job.”

While no single policy covers every exposure, most nonprofits and social service organizations carry General Liability, Umbrella, Property, Professional Liability, Abuse & Molestation Liability, Directors & Officers / Employment Practices Liability, Crime (fidelity bond), Cyber Liability, and Workers’ Compensation.

Most brokers are paid a commission by the carrier the business is placed with, typically 5% to 20% of the premium. Some brokers charge an additional fee on top of that — we don’t, with most of our insurance programs.
